Biography

Pam is a distinguished aviation attorney and founding shareholder at Hicks Davis Wynn. With a career spanning over two decades, she has established herself as a leading authority in aviation law, representing a diverse clientele that includes commercial airlines, airframe manufacturers, fixed-base operators, general aviation interests, helicopter operators, insurers, shippers, and engine and component part manufacturers.

Her expertise covers a wide range of aviation-related legal matters, including accident litigation, product liability, and cargo claims at both trial and appellate levels. Pam’s formidable courtroom skills have led to numerous victories, notably securing a verdict for a major commercial airline in a jurisdiction ranked among America’s most challenging for defendants. In the past year alone, she has obtained summary judgments and dismissals for clients including a major airline in a disability rights case, a fixed-base operator wrongly accused of negligence, and a ground support equipment company.

Beyond aviation, Pam’s legal acumen extends to the oil and gas, public utilities, real estate, finance, motor vehicle, correctional, and insurance sectors. She is also a go-to attorney for eminent domain cases and has extensive experience representing both majority and minority interests in closely held corporations and partnerships. As lead counsel, she has successfully tried a variety of commercial and personal injury actions.

Recognized for her contributions to aviation law, Pam serves on the Board of Advisors for the prestigious Southern Methodist University Air Law Symposium and is the past Chair of the Aviation Section of the State Bar of Texas. Her peers have consistently honored her legal prowess; she has been named a Texas “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers®, a Thomson Reuters service, every year since 2014, following her recognition as a “Rising Star” from 2005 to 2013. In 2018, Houstonia magazine named her a Top Lawyer in Aviation, Admiralty, Maritime, and Transportation.

Prior to co-founding Hicks Davis Wynn, Pam honed her skills as a partner at BMP for 18 years. Her unparalleled expertise, courtroom successes, and industry leadership make her an invaluable asset to clients navigating the complex intersections of aviation and law.
